End of weekend bump!

I asked the garage to replace my hazard light switch as part of the MOT. They said the wiring/plug which connects to the switch itself is knackered and suggested going to a scrapyard to get one from another Clio. Is this part of the main wiring loom in the engine? How easy is it going to be to...

Brentacre wanted £770 from me for renewal, 24, 2 years ncb, 1 claim (not at fault), 0 points. Elephant though have smashed that and will do it for just under £550. Strange old world.

Clio Handbook Mine seems to be all in French, which is a nice touch and feels very authentic but pretty useless as I'm pap at reading French! Has anyone got a link to a PDF one online I could download etc? Cheers!

Got the fan out and tried to give it a clean but it wasn't for having it and still insisted on buzzing so looks like I'll need a replacement. Anyone got the part number to hand? But, the whining still seemed to be coming from the engine/alternator area when the ignition was on but engine not...

I'll have a listen tonight after my drive home to see if its still making a noise from the alternator, hopefully we can rule that out. Thanks for the advice.

Does it just need blasting with some compressed air to clean it up or will it need replacing? And would that explain the whine from the alternator also or is that just a Clio thing? (New to all this 172 owning, sorry!)
