The only light that appeared was the traction control light, flashed on and off a couple of times and at that point I always stopped because I didnt want to flood the engine

Engine was turning over fine. Ended up pushing the car around a car park like a melt for 15 minutes trying to bump start it. Gave up and tried to start it once more on the off chance and it backfired big time and started? Any ideas? Looking around Im lead to believe it could be a coil pack? but...

Thanks for the picture man, great help. Im not really in a position to rip the whole frame out but ill try the Allen/Hex first. I'll throw a picture up in due course, though I can't imagine that would be it, they've been functional for the past 2 years.

@optical 100% its stuck on the left side, spent forever wiggling and trying to force it back. Where exactly are the hex/allen screws located (Roughly)

Unfortunately its not a 2.0, just a regular clio 1.6 petrol.
