I had the same problem. I cleaned the throttle pedal box which helped. I later took off the throttle body and cleaned that, also cleaning the connections.
More of a weekend project, Friday eve had 4 new Uniroyal rainspout 3's fitted. Saturday was a hoover and wash with a quick polish. Checked fluids and various bits and pieces. Today, compete in an Autosolo. Ended up 3rd in class after dicing with another 172 cup all day.

I run the AD08R's and love them, Bit twitchy in the wet but i rarely take it out when it rains.
Did a full track day at Brands last dec and the morning was wet, scary as hell going into Paddock but after a few laps an with some heat in the tyres it was ok.
Refreshed the engine mounts with some power flex bushes. Top engine, Dogbone and Upper gearbox. Wow what a difference, feels much smoother and slots into gear so easily.
Took the Cup to Lydden for a sprint meeting. Run in class A4 standard production with list 1B tyres. Managed to hold the lead from the first run and get my time down to 91.77 for the class win.
I had this on a recent track day, plugged my OBD reader in and it gave the pedal position switch as the fault. Pulled the connector off and cleaned connections and popped it back on. No problems since

Well after a few weeks of not doing anything to it i managed to get a full cut, polish and carnauba wax done before my track day at Brands on friday. Also changed the oil and filter so now in tip top condition.
A nice drive out to a local spot for some pictures, shame the light was just to low.
