Hi there, my Clio was not happy at Llandow today and after about 6 laps of Llandow it went into limp mode with error code P0130/P0136. (The 2002 clio 172 is decat) so I replaced the precat 02 sensor with the same symptoms but unable to undo the other sensor. I then reset it and it worked for...
I bought the car already fitted with DS1.11 and did 1 wet track day and following a brake inspection noticed the pad was cracked and crumbling despite being a relatively expensive high temperature resistant pad.
Can anyone explain what causes this please?
I urgently need a new rear caliper but Eurocarparts show there is a piece missing that goes over the pad. Mine has rusted beyond use. Is it normal for caliper to be piston only?
Thanks I took the chance and ordered a new speedo sensor. I strongly suspect the gearbox was changed by previous owner as it has a quaife fitted.
As its unlikely the gearbox would have a sensor AND a cable have ordered the sensor and fingers crossed !
my point is that the fitter either removed a cable or a sensor, he is saying neither but the speedo worked. Unfortunately the parts are not arrived yet so cant see :(
I have just had my gearbox rebuilt from a 2002 172 cup non abs. The builder has noticed that the speedo cable is broken but the fitter is convinced he didn't remove a speedo cable. The speedo was working fine before the gearbox came off.
As I have no abs - assume that the cable must have been...
Funny - I was looking at Eurospec today as they used to do the work on my Prelude. They are heavily focused on Jap cars but literally 10 minutes drive from me so will give them a call tomorrow. Ktec have a small delay on the Gen90 ECU's so not ideal either!
Hi there - I have a Gen90 Ecu with Ktec rotrex kit being fitted to the car and wondered if anyone could advise where to take it locally to be mapped please?
I have searched this forum only to be pointed to Mike Woodford who hasn't responded to any of my messages (maybe no longer doing it?). I...
I fitted a gripper diff to my Clio cup 172 and personally would advise chasing suspension/handling, brakes, tyres and tuition before touching power <---- Once that is sorted next step would be LSD <---- Once that sorted then go get some power.
Occasionally a JMS RS2 inlet manifold comes up for...
I wont be queuing to buy AD08 that for sure although heard the AD08R better.
Back to OP question - its your cash go for it. Make sure everything sorted first - LSD, suspension, brakes as the extra 100bhp is going to highlight any weaknesses quickly
