Clio doesn't want to crank over. Wiring?

Its common for the 12v feed to starter to become unreliable. With mine it was corroded at the spade connector but some contact cleaner and its been fine for last couple of years.

EBC Yellow stuff pads - worth it?

Pagid or Brembo O/E pads are good enough for the road, to be fair. Trackdays, no. With pads you can also look at 306 GTi-6 shape pads as they are usually cheaper and the pad area is slightly bigger. Ebc yellowstuff does seem to makes some sence when you go for them in that shape as they are only...

    brake caliper slider pins

Think I am in the same predicament. I'm pretty sure my drivers side carrier (yoke?) has one hole ovalled, the pin has a fair bit of vertical play in it yet no side-side play. Would lilke to know if any other cars share this carrier for when I'm next at scrapper's yard.... Or a source for a new...

    Driveshaft or CV boot kit?

Yep, as you suggest - just repack it with grease and re-clip it (I've used jubilee clips on the outer boots and have been perfect for 50k+) If it doesn't solve the issue you've not lost anything but your time and a few pence.

    Struggling with replacing handbrake cable

in your pic it seems there is nothing to remove? from what you said I thought you might be having difficulty getting the snapped end of the cable out, like if it was seised in to the arm. but the arm looks like is ready to just have the new cable put in from that pic. no? Am I missing something...

Completely confused after the drive to work :(

Sounds typical of a temp sender fault, either the wiring or the unit itself. Probably the wiring. Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the plug, checking/cleaning the contacts to rule out the simple things first? I read on here there is another common issue with sender wiring, the loom...

Top mount - What have i done wrong?

names of the different parts are getting mixed up here I think - when they refer to the top hat spacer, its usually meaning the metal part that sits in the centre of the donut, no bigger than about an inch wide. Not the upper top mount (shown in your pic). The order is: top spring platform...

    Exhaust gas light.

Its unlikely to really, as if the sensors receiving extra o2 from atmosphere it would add richness but not be reading it as overfueling. Therefore it wouldn't be flagged up by the ecu. Flashing indicates some spikes in the 02 readings, eg unburnt fuel only for a limited time, which indicates...

    Normal Opperating Temperature??

Have you had the stat out? Is the seal in good condition? If it looks a bit perished then its leaking past the seal and that might be the issue. If it were me Id put a new one in, just make sure its not from ecp as I had to return one I bought from them as it was undersized. Genuine Renault one...

    15" alloys help!!

They [dynamique alloys] will fit fine, will just clear standard brakes and have a standard clio offset. I have them on my 182 right now (for winter tyres). Thing is, as you probably know, 888's are quite wide, slightly wider for a given size than regular UHP road tyres, and whilst they will be...

    15" alloys help!!

Yes, they will fit no problem. They are only 6" wide though and ET43, which might be something to consider.

    Hardwearing, economic tyres?

Op stipulated hard wearing and long lasting. Also econnomic. So sports tyres wil not be the right choice regardless of what car. If getting four new tyres then it does make some sense to go for the 195/50 r15 size as was metoned a few posts back. I run that size on the dynamique alloys as my...
