Very common problem. Mine lasted 34k before it broke off. Had a stainless steel one put on for a while which sounded a little meaner and.... don't hold me to this but it also 'felt' a little more responsive at lower revs.
Would of kept it on there but due to selling, wanted to get it back to...
Not saying it is.....can fit 4 golf bags in the back AND no longer have to slide my seat forward when people sit behind me :)

Lose the rear lights and that big badge on the rear pillar and looking better :p Think the STI8 bonnet scoop is a matter of preference. Lots of people don't even know the difference so don't worry ;)

I pick the car up when funds clear which should hopefully be around mid-week (Bloody bank holiday weekend!). Have recently bought a new camera aswell so should be able to take some decent pics.
Can't believe I done this but just put a deposit down on a 51 plate wrx sti import in white. It was more of a spur of the moment thing after having a view of the car. I was very impressed with the whole thing and instantly fell in love with it without even considering the running costs.
