Was it a special textured neoprene?

As in neoprene ( wetsuit stuff )?...are you sure, I've had my Vee since new 13yrs now & the wheel is original but in a poor state. I can't remember exactly what it was like when new but do remember it had a fuzzy texture to it much like the seat & door panel Alcantara, but neoprene?

Can anyone confirm what the original wheel material was & if it can be sourced?....

Hi, I'm in contact with Snappy to get my MK1 Vee wheel re-trimmed as original, however I need to source the material, so can anyone tell me where I might be able to get this?....I know it was Alcantara type material ( it's all worn off now so a bit hard to tell ) but was/is it the same material...
