The Geartronics cut be triggered either by a digital switch or by a load cell.
It's much better then the standard system that was used on the original cars, plus its inexpensive.
Some of the new bits needed for the re-build; new shells, bolts etc.

These are the Cosworth pistons and rods that will be being put in. Just need new rings...
We have any entry for the Abingdon CAR-nival stages on the 13th-14th June, so really need to get the car sorted before then!
We have the remains of a few Sodemo engines kicking around, originally from a Continental Megane touring car so are going to rebuild the engine using some of those bits...
Got a couple of spare blocks off ebay, plus a crank and sump.

Lapped 2 new valves in, got to put it all back together now and see if they seal ok.
So no lack of choice then :)
Found somewhere called called Allyfab in Chesterfield, somewhere close like this (Nottingham ish) would be prefered!
Either this or is anyone could get a bag tank for a works spec Alpine 110 :)
Probably oil surge caused bearing seizure; broke the rod, chewed the piston and liner up, put a hole low down in the block and bent a couple of valves.
We have got most of the bits kicking around to rebuild something decent along the lines of a F7R so going to stick with that for simplicity...
