Eventually got my hands on a Haynes manual. Looks like I will tackle the cylinder head gasket change as well as the cambelt change in the next 2 months.

Hey guys, Is there a .pdf format of this Haynes manual? Need to replace cylinder head gasket next week, and importing it from UK to South Africa in time for my roadtrip planned next Friday just won't happen. Anyone selling their hardcover by any chance too?:lolup:

thanx chaps. Seems like I have more on my hands than I had anticipated. Cam belt change only due in 30000kms, so will have to see if I can live with the leak. Let me monitor it over the next few weeks and see how much oil is leaking.

Yeah, spoke to my local agent yesterday who said the 1.4 takes a sealant while 1.2 has a gasket. Will have to remove top cover and take it from there. Ben, why would I need to change belt if it's only the top cover I'm removing? I'm sure all I need to do is remove the coils, undo the top...

As in opening statement, original keys both lost which is why I'm replacing barrels and key.

Does the book have a code? Can't find one in the book - if book is "owner's manual".

yeah man, the altitute up here not the easiest on combustion motors, however one has an option when it comes to octane level at filling stations. higher octane tad more pricey. ​the megan rs was a hit. clio didn't do as well as fiesta st or even mazda 3 mps.
