As silly as it sounds, I like the idea of an aluminium gear knob. My standard is starting to wear at the front and it needs replacing. The only thing is that I've come across standard looking one on eBay. Anyone had any experience? Any friendly advice or comments welcome! Alt URL...

For the money you're spending you would easily get a mint golf with a 1.8t engine in it. I looked at the very same thing. The one thing that stopped me was that it would have been too low for where I live and I would be driving and taking out planks everywhere I go.
