Yup. I have the older version of the MIFI. works brilliantly. can connect any WIFI capable device to it. Get the 586 version as its the latest and fastest! Sometimes Argos sell the ipad sims for 5 quid for a 1GB allowance that lasts up to 30 days.. just use one of these if you dont need 3G...

The sims actually go straight into my iPad as I have the 3G version. I couldn't imagine having to change the sim in the iPhone while out every time I want to hotspot!

Internet tethering for 02 bolt-ton costs £7.66 a month for 500MB...hmmm... 3 1GB PAYG sim cards are only 4 quid each.. i think i`ll stick using PAYG sims, methinks! dont use it that often to to warrant adding it on every month.

AFAIK they dont have to give it back to him, but richeh should be able to use it to buy other things from them (like a store voucher) .. like parts or maybe even put towards another order ( but they probably not give you as a good deal this time round as they know they already have your cash. )
