handling seems almost as good as the 182 but difficult to say at the moment as still getting used to it
loved the handling of the 182 as it was like a go-kart :)
straight line pace doesnt feel as quick but i put that down to the civic being so much quieter (182 had a ktec supersport exhaust)...
finally had to give in after all these happy years with the 182 , since our 2nd son was born it was becoming a nightmare trying to go anywhere using the clio
loved the 182 for the journey to & from work (nice quiet A road in the sticks)
toy'd with the idea of a meg R26 as wanted to stay...
prob a silly question but does anyone know if theres height adjustment on the drivers seat of a megane R26 recaro seat ? if so is there much adjustment ?
reason for asking is im thinking of changing the 182 for a R26...im 6ft5 & the misses is 5ft2 :) the clio is just right for us both to use...

just came across this on ebay & had to look closer , 1st thought was it had been vandalised with tipex :rasp:
love the bit about "its a real head turner" it'd...
fitted new rubber seal under inlet & put a new metal gasket between upper & lower inlets as was only about £5 so thought id do it anyway, fired it up & back to normal :) if anything the idle seems more stready now .....result !!!!! :)
refitted inlet this morning using loctite gasket sealer in place of 'o' ring , left to cure for several hours, started engine this evening & doesnt rev its tits off now but idle is all over the place, between 1200rpm & 2500rpm & doesnt settle. gonna order a new 'o' ring from renault & hope this...

tom - didnt disconnect electrical connector to throttle as was very tight connection & didnt wanna risk breaking it, rechecked it since & seems to be connected ok

hunted everywhere for the 'o' ring seal between manifold & head but think its grown legs & run off, i know its not ideal but is it ok to use instant gasket sealer e.g the tube that halfords sell in order to get car back on road till i can get a new seal from renault ?
thanks for the advice mate, just lifted manifold & can see a recess on the underside of the manifold which looks like a seal should seat in, didnt spot this on removal so am guessing a seals dropped behind the engine
