They arnt that much heavier than a clio really, maybe 50-75kgs more. 220 would butcher a clio in a straight line, clio would butcher 220 round corners haha you really do have to wrestle them round corners.

if it was doing that constantly then he must have been running too much boost or it was simply a nail or a shite conversion. Standard pistons are made of chocolate and generally cant take more than 11.5psi.

Well, had to get rid of the 172 a while ago due to insurance and fuel rocketing up. Didnt own it for that long but i thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, mightily impressed and has lifted my previous gloomy experience with anything French. Just lacking in straightline power though.
