I would say it's affecting all gears, certainly blocks going into 2nd, 3rd and 4th but for obvious reasons I don't have much experience of over 6krpm in 4th on the road!

I have recently bought off of my parents a nice 07 Clio 197 low mileage, loads of history and it's had a very easy life mainly used by my mother to drive to Asda.

Having looked at the them they are loose and have the black line down the back of them as you said so I am confident this is the leak thanks for your help!
The rear right of my boot is leaking quite a lot of water in heavy rain after doing a search on here I tried resealing the light unit but it's still doing it is there anywhere we where it can come in?
Having seen another thread just bear mine with nangang ns2r's being recommended I can't help thinking that the harder compound version might do me well. Does anyone run them just on the front with a normal summer tyre on the rear for trackdays or is there to much of a grip differance to do this...
There was no understeering or wheelspinning! And I did have tution for one session I wasn't driving like a lune which is why I was surprised they went so fast but to be honest they seem to look fine again now they have done some road miles, maybe I was overreacting wish I'd taken a picture now...

Pistonheads have just done their write up. No fancy dampers etc but much improved gearbox and quite a few changes to the chassis 3 seconds a lap quicker apparently.
