Riffy interior...

  Swift Sport
I've just acquired a third car (I'll post up once I've got pics). The car has been cleaned inside and out by the previous owner, but it still whiffs a bit inside. I've tried spraying some Febreeze in there and I've currently got the windows down but the smell is still there. It's not horrendous, but it's not great... Bit of a 'wet dog' smell.

Do those odour eater things work? What else could I try?

There was something I'm sure I saw @Daniel meantion in a thread, some kind of bomb thing you throw in the car and leave for a bit and it gets rid of dodgy smells. Obviously reserve the right to be talking absolute b*llocks.

You need an odour bomb.

Let it off in the centre rear footwell (facing up) and shut the doors and don't open them for 24 hours.

These are the ones I use and they get rid of all nasty smells like dogs, smoke damp etc.

I'm gonna need one of those, Drainage channels got blocked so had a footwell full of stale water, It's dried out now but still a bit if smell left behind.

You can always try other things like wet vac with verso APC if that doesnt work or try drying the whole inside out first then giving it a good scrub. I have three dogs in a 1series so Verso is my saviour and keeps the car smelling really fresh, of course with a Sherbert Lemon air freshener too ;)

Open, close doors, leave for 24 hours. Then what Ginge? Can I just leave the car or do I then need to open the doors to let it air for a bit?

Whatever you wish mate. I normally open all the windows and let it breathe for 5 minutes before I get in it and drive it. But nothing is actually 'needed' because it's done all it's settling during the 24 hours.

@Daniel - is this still your 'go to' product for odour removal in a car?

Will use it on my Dads car to try get the smokey smell out if so (or if you now know of something else I'll get that)

It's good s**t. Just remember, Once you activate it then the stuff comes out the nozzle at the top. If you put it quite high up in the car, then the spray might go allover the headlining and you'll have that to deal with.
