Yes it's a daft name, but the physics in this demo are superb! If I had a decent spec PC I'd be buying the proper version.

I had a quick go at this the other week. The cars when playing at normal play speed seem to be made of tin and crumple too quickly. It is a good bit of fun though.

I'm surprised more people haven't given this a whirl, the free version gives a pretty good taster. I bought the Alpha version and its really quite good. Not much to it at the moment bar a few cars and tracks, but flying round a country road in a little Honda Civic type hatchback is ace, especially when the back steps out and you spiral into a tree! Worth a tenner of anyones money imo if your into car physics type stuff.

Downloading, but I bet it's the same as Rigs of Rods.

In fact, I also bet that the honda is the Accord from RoR as well.

EDIT: It's made by the same people.

The type of crash physics this game offers should be standard on all next gen console racing games imo. Forza take note!

Nothing like Rigs of Rods, the physics and crashes are much more realistic. Rigs of Rods is all a bit cartoony in comparison.

While car manufacturers hold control of licensing and how their products are depicted I wouldn't hold your breath. Even though a 100mph impact would decimate even a pretty robust car they are too paranoid the general public will think it reflects badly on th safety of their cars.

It's coded using the same core physics engine, RoR uses Ogre to render it all though. The friction settings and beam strengths have been fiddled with but it's still RoR underneath.

If you want a realistic crash, try the Accord in RoR, much more realistic in terms of damage caused vs impact speed.
