I'm just going to get there when I get there. Not faffing about convoying TBH. It's an early enough start as it is, let along worrying about others...

I have :/

guessing there's no refund?

oh right lol, well i think if you wanted to you can ring them up atleast a week before and they refund you in credit that you have to put towards another track day so you might aswell just do it.

He's saying he just doesnt want me to damage my car/me as ive put alot of hard work into my car, and remember how p*ssed off i was when someone keyed it, it could be worse on track :/

+ do you know if theyre done in groups? As I don't fancy being on the same track as some absolute monsters where im in the slowest car there :/

its done in timed sessions of groups yes. theirs not going to be any 'monsters' their, its a novice day lol

Dont know maybe.

lol been reading stuff on the internet and it's making me feel a bit better about it...

Things like track days are safer than on the road, as track days are controlled enviroments where it is safer to do these things, whereas on road there are so many other variables. I think as ive paid, im gonna do it.

Just come youll be fine its my first time too im just guna take it easy and take a few racing car driver tips off bobby lmao

You coming then dan??

sorry guys, I think im taking out the credit so I can do a track day later on in the year, maybe in the summer, as I don't think I'd enjoy this one as much, as it'll still be winter and conditions might not be great.

plus I can't be dealing with getting up at 4am.

I hope you guys enjoy your day, and maybe you can come to the one that I will book in the future (I have 3 months to book another track day).

Plus, I might save up and buy a cheap phase 1 172 to strip out and track abuse it :)

TBH someone driving for 4 months isn't ready for the road...!

Why not learn now how to drive properly now in a safe proper environment ? Everyone should learn how to drive properly, learn what cars are capable of and learn what happens if things go wrong. Winter training, skid training should also be part of the driving test IMO ! The general driving public can't negotiate roundabouts properly, let alone corners at speed .. the driving test is so out of date it's unreal, but that's a rant for another day.

Unless you're a complete r****d, you'll know the difference between track and road and won't go home at 100mph everywhere clipping apexs. I've been driving ten years and the only track experience I've ever had was when I was 18, been driving 6 months, and I took a brand new John Dennis fire engine around a massive MOD test track.

Driving is all about confidence. If you don't think you can spend 15 minutes on track without killing yourself, hand your licence in to the authorities tomorrow.

This is a novice day, for novices.

My OH is coming to .. second driver. She's an ADI (driving instructor) and she's had less track time than me .. if she wasn't coming, i'd sign you on as my second driver and show you it's really not complicated.

There's only one way to learn !!

Get involved :rasp:
