Original Boy Racer's new wheels

Finally picked up the R27 replacement today. after a 3 week wait thanks to the DVLA. For those who saw my thread in Clio discussion this has not been an easy process for me and is driven by economics. This ended up as a swap and some money my way, so feel that I've not been screwed by a dealer for once.

For those that were bothered what my choice was I can now present:

All I can say is it makes me grin and handles really well and that's in the wet with sh*t tyres on the front.

Plans have been made for mods and packages have been ordered so will probably end up doing a project thread at some point.

  Shit little Yaris...
I was originally looking at these before the 200, but saw a red one and thought Postman Pat... Grey for me would be the only colour.

Great motors.

Awesome I still miss my GF's one! They really suit white imo

But what ever you do, for the love of got DO NOT lower it on springs , it will totally ruin the ride as it's already quite bouncy as standard it just can't handle being any lower on standard shocks it just multiplies the problem ten fold!

What a great little car. Good choice. I love the not so obvious warm hatches. Same reason I really like the Suzuki Swift Sport.

Wow!! Shocked that it's such a popular choice. Have to say how impressed I am with it's crisp cornering and revvy engine. Even the build quality is quite good for a Fiat. It's got a great spec for a budget car, never expected Blue tooth connectivity as standard, climate control, rain sensitive wipers, electric assisted steering, a great sport button that changes throttle response and steering sensitivity and even a visual message which tells you which door is open.

Plans for the near future involve Suspension mods (shocks and springs), Induction kit, Ragazzon exhaust, possible change of head unit, uprated speakers, some element of painting brake calipers and wheels. Might re-badge as well and looking into options around re-mapping.

It might not be quick in a straight line but it certainly is entertaining around corners.

Nice one Pete, look forward to seeing it mate! Excellent choice.

I love them, LOVE driving my brothers one. Try to get a set of Goodyear F1's for it, they suit the handling characteristics of these so well.

That looks fantastic, very good deal getting a newer car and cash your way. While not being as quick as the Clio i bet it will be as much fun in it's own way. I am biased though as i adore small Fiats, my white Mk1 Uno Turbo is my pride and joy and will never be sold.
