how to get tippex off car leather seats?

  Go cry to your momma!
White spirit will most likely take the dye off...i'd try the scratch approach...will probably leave a mark though.

Get yourself a bottle of die dan_19 ;D

1,1,1,Tri-chloro-ethane is Tipex thinner- it is now a solvent that is difficult to come by because of too many people sniffing it- but that would remove it if you can come by it; possibly in a car body repair supply place as it is used in industry.

Is it the water-based Tippex or the smelly stuff?

Try this... it gets rid of most stuff
from leather, carpets, clothes etc!

Stay away from white spirit!!!!! it will remove a large majority of the top coat, and quite possibly pull the base dye reet the way through from the flesh side of the leather and that would be fail. If you do use something/anything with any form of solvent be fcuking quick and don't whack it on, Best bet is to try and scratch it off, then rub gently with soap and warm water. Leather is top coated with a water based cross linked PolyUrethane, solvent will remove the finish quicker than a CS bird loses her knickers at FCS.

Oh and when I was a yoof it was rock fall burns in car seats, tip ex WTF?? LOL
