What caused my DS1.11 to become apple crumble?

I bought the car already fitted with DS1.11 and did 1 wet track day and following a brake inspection noticed the pad was cracked and crumbling despite being a relatively expensive high temperature resistant pad.
Can anyone explain what causes this please?

Is the car left outside without use for a while?
Pads rust to disc and then when you drive away it tears the pads up.

Race compounds don't tend to like cold and wet conditions. Have they been on the car a while?

Have you a picture of the discs are they a redish colour look like they have over heated which on a wet cold day would suggest a issue somewhere else

Its a combination of all of the above to me,the pads have definitely been put through some serious heat to get those Scoring marks and start to break apart"Good lad".SJ.
