Skype Hows it work?

As i'm soon to be going to live abroad, i'm thinking of using skype, i've seen that can get Skype phones/handsets.

Was going to get one for my parents, do they just plug into the router at home?

My parents are old and know nothing about tech, so if it's any different to a normal phone they'll get confused.

Just download skype, buy a webcam with built in mic or even just a mic, and away you go

If its on a computer once it's set up its just a case of clicking the icon and your away! Not sure about Skype phones.

Yeah happy with it on computer/mobile phones, but on about the static phone type ones.

No idea about skype phone tbh.. My mrs made me get skype for when she was at uni >.<

Yeah looks like they just plug into the normal ethernet socket on the router
