Poor/No Radio Reception But Receives GPS

As title states my radio has poor or very little reception it has the standard head unit. However it does receive GPS for the built in sat nav. Wondering if anyone has any help on this? Also does the laguna gps antenna fit and work with the clio?

GPS and radio don't use the same signal AFAIK so it just sounds like a sound system fault

I had this problem in my 172 cup a few years ago (obv not satnav) after much faffing about I swapped out the base for a unit + lead, cured it 100%. Think there is some powered amp or something in the base iirc

The aerial base is slightly larger than the standard clio aerial base, so presume the gps is in the same base?
