E-mail service provider swap?

I've had a look on google but it didn't really answer my question, so i'm sure cs will know!

Basically i'm with aol for my internet and have an aol.com e-mail address. Aol is being replaced by bt because they are around £30 cheaper a month.

Will I lose my access to my e-mail address or can I keep using it even though I won't be with aol?

You should still be able to log into your email as normal when you switch provider

haha! You WILL be able too. I take it you login at mail.aol.co.uk, or something along those lines?

It's basically the same as having a hotmail or yahoo email account, after you switch you'll still be able to login to your aol mailbox the '@aol.co.uk' is just a domain registered to AOL. If you get where I'm coming from.

I would check you know. Certain providers (such as BT) will close your email account once you leave or will charge you around £2.00 per month to keep it. On the other hand some providers will let you keep it. Worth checking with them directly.

We can still access it today, so i'm not worried anymore. The bt homehub is very fast

Get a gmail account and have it import your AOL, this is what I did (5 years ago).

I can give you the import details if you need them.
