172 Cup Track Car

I'm stripping the interior from my 172 cup & now i have come to the wiring. I need a bit of help, is it ok to strip back the airbag ECU or will it cause a fault & need garage attention? is there anything else i should be carfeful of?

My understanding is it throws up an error.

I used the RSTuner airbag module to turn off all faults and am going to tuck the ecu out of the way.

No, just a light on the dash.
