Removal of aircon from 172
Is it a case of just removing it all or is it more involved than that?
If more involved what parts are required?
Cheers

Aux-belt needs a different setup. Try the search bar on the top right corner.

Why remove it? Does it work properly? If this warm weather continues you will regret taking it out. I use mine all the time including track use.

It's going to be a track car. I'm told if you get it all out it totals about 25kg's?

Re: Removal of aircon from 172
To be honest I'd leave it in. Mine gets track use as well. It doesn't slow it down thats for sure. You're not racing in a championship, its only a trackday. If its a stinking hot day then you'll be wishing you had aircon. and it stops it misting up on a wet day so think about that as well. I leave the aircon running on track. It's never slowed me down!

I hear what you're saying Mark but I'm still going to delete it ta.
Could it be as simple a putting in the brackets from a cup?

Re: Removal of aircon from 172
Pure Motorsport website has a full how to removal guide mate.
Laguna 1.8 8V bracket is the same as a Cup. Got mine for a tenner from the local breakers lol
Genuine Cup alternator and belt and all can be done for not much over a 100
