M.O.T time coming up and advice needed

Got my M.O.T due next month and have a few issues. These are:

- Airbag and serv light on due to airbag ecu needing to be reset.
- Traction light on due to angle sensor fault (have a replacement to put on)

Was just wondering if these fault codes can be wiped off? taking my car to k tec on saturday to see if they can or not.

If the airbags have been deployed you can't just turn the light off as the control unit has stored the crash data.

Don't think the traction one can just be turned off either without fixing the angle sensor.

Cant they be reset though? Using CLIP?

Airbags no afaik. You would be best off speaking to mickpm@diamond motors he is in the know about this.

If you haven't fixed the fault the light will just come back.

To clarify, you will need either a 2nd hand airbag ecu with the correct configurations to switch the airbag light off.

And to remove the abs/traction light the angle sensor needs to be reset on a good diagnostic machine.

The airbag light won't fail yet (but will soon) and the abs light will.

Should I order a new airbag ecu? or get mine sent off to be reset?
