Re: heaters no working ??
no gas or reisistor gone mate

Re: heaters no working ??
it will be your heater resister. under the driverside window wiper, lift your bonnet lift up your wiper (dont scratch the bonnet) take the plastic trim off and you will see a connector with about 7ish wires on top. what its connected into is your resister (couple lil screws or torques screws to remove it) i think there roughly bout £100 new so find a friend with a multimeter to test it before lol

Re: heaters no working ??
easy way to tell just bridge pin's 1&5 and the fans will come on then you know its the resistor
and there £30 to fix look on ebay for the repair services..

Re: heaters no working ??
thanks for the replys
will look in morning when its light

Re: heaters no working ??
by that do i get a bit of wire and touch either wire 1+5 ? if they come on then its the resistor that needs replacing ?
thanks Adam

Re: heaters no working ??
^^^ Yes just use a bit of wire and again if the fan works its the rheostat(resistor )that has gone circa £120 new from the stealers

disconnect the multi plug that goes into the rheostat (resistor) you will see the pins are numbered 12345 get a peice of wire or cable anything that will complete a circuit and join pins 1&5 together the fans should then start blowing full power obviously you will need the ignition on and the heaters turned on in the car..
quick pic to try and explain

Re: heaters no working ??
Just about to try this now, some one said make sure you lift wiper up and don't scratch bonnet ? Have I go to lift wiper up ? Or can I do it with it just as it is ?
-
Re: heaters no working ??

right ive done what you lot said and i bridged the number 1-5 it went like 5-4-3-2-1 and when i did that my fans kicked in ? so take its the resister then? whats worth doing buying a new one or get the repair service thing from ebay ? whats that do? easy to fix ? also just wondered if any one has a link to it? thanks adam
