Next 'real south west' meet- the moors
Hi guy/girls. I really want to do a meet in the Plymouth/south west area. I know lots of you are in Exeter so we can meet halfway. Seen so many Clio's around here and we need to get together for a big meet very soon. The last meet was too short notice for me so I want to know your thoughts and ideas please then I will do a date for sure.
Thinking more near the summer when its nice May/June. How about the Moors as a location. lots of car parks there, take some great pics and meet each other.
Let me know your ideas please ie if any of you will be working etc. Sunday will be the best day for us right?
cheers Guys

I thought that said ''The next real southwest meet - The morons.''

Ssh Daniel. We can count to 12 on our hands.
We had a meet on Dartmoor a few months back, only 4 people turned up but I think it was mainly due to it being late notice.
Personally I was planning on having a meet in Cornwall somewhere. It'd be a nice change to see all the Somerset/Dorset lot have to drive 2 hours to a meet like we all have to. There hasn't been a meet in Cornwall in ages, which is a shame because there's plenty of nice places.
I've just been trying to think of locations that have space for 15-20 cars together though!

I'd be up for a drive down from toytown

How about getting permission to park next to captain jaspers in Plymouth?
Or go go-karting.

Like this idea but probably hard to get.
St. Eval is a proper kart track. 70mph twin engines. (EDIT: Gone from twins to bigger 390cc singles.)

Raceworld Exeter looks good. (indoor track)
St eval is highly rated (outdoor track)
Plymouth is small. But a good laugh (indoor)
How many people can we guarantee to a meet? I've got a contact in the council and could apply for use of the promenade (top of the hoe by smeatons tower)

Might be worth sending out a group PM to see what interest there is.

Re: Next 'real south west' meet- the moors
Who fancies a proper race? Price is a hell of a hike though
Thunderkart Arrive & Drive (16 yrs +)
£15 = 1st 10 minute session
£15 = 2nd 10 minute session
£10 = 3rd 10 minute session
Formula one
NON-Exclusive Formula 1
£45 per driver 15 lap race
£50 per driver 20 lap race
Exclusive Formula 1
£50 per driver 15 lap race
£55 per driver 20 lap race
Also it'd have to be on a Saturday, since they can't operate on Sundays.

oh right ! Well I went the other week with my brother and we had had enough by 2 races anyway. So the price isnt bad really ! App its one of the biggest tracks around and they don't half move these Karts. They also open Sundays, hence why they changed from the twin engine ones- less noise

Re: Next 'real south west' meet- the moors
The track and karts are just the best in Devon and Cornwall IMO.
Have to check on the Sunday business, since their website says they're closed
-
Re: Next 'real south west' meet- the moors
no they are open Sundays said that just now. Went there 2 weeks ago and the staff told us they are....
I know they are 100%
Where else then that has a track that big? struggle to find one.
