My A1 Thread

Essentally i fancied a new car, warranty, reliability etc etc and the Audi A1 has been a massive grower on me over the last few months.

I borrowed this little monster from work for the weekend and after 200 miles i loved it.

its a 1.6tdi s-line

We have some cracking deals for employees at work so i placed a factory order on a 2.0TDi Black Edition, back in feb i think it was. Its now finally in the UK and today i chose my reg plate.

Should be here either this week or next... i really want it by friday so i get to go away in it!!

well I've already ordered some 20mm spacers for the back. only other thing is maybe lower it about a foot. but i can't do too much without wading into the warranty void area

thats a nice example there, what kind of deals on these atm? im intrested in the quattro one and audi are literrally opening a new showroom around the corner from my house so just waiting to test drive one.

The rents have a white 1.4 with the stripes.

the quattro one is £40k left hand drive and only 40 being made... all of which are sold already.. you won't get to test drive one I'm afraid gutted because it means i won't either.

think you can get a base model for about 13k which for the car you get is really good imo, it may be a small car but its still an audi and feels like one.
top of the range black edition about 21k

Agreed it's definitely expensive, like all of the other Audi options! I reckon it'd look better in black anyway.

They're a great normal car, but I was bored with it on the test drive.

They look ace though IMO. Especially in your spec.

it will be my normal boring car tho, golfie provides more than enough unreliability/ unpracticalness for one car

Nice looking car. My mate brought a bright red 1.6tdi one round a week before official release. Turned lots of heads for a small car.

Infact, think it looked just like that but red.

i love the red but its extra again, only "free" colours are black and that funny off white

I'm not a fan of the silver roofline reminds me of the Citroen C3 Pluriel, so not having it is no bad thing in my book!
