What's the difference between factory and dealer for options? Apart from one being fitted at the factory and one being fitted at the dealer?

If you spec say a gloss black roof that gets painted at the import centre, alarms get fitted over here too along with cup spoilers/skirts/front splitter. The leather retrims get done in the import centre too.

Im sure in my local dealers there's a notice saying that all cars registered or made after June 2011 have to have them fitted, and then offer the Philips ones for £200 fitted. My mate has just picked up his brand new Twingo and it hasn't got them. Bit contradictory to the notice!

I thought ours had yellow stitch right round (2010 spec)

No not to the dealers they come from france to the import centres either teesport(Middlesbrough) or Southampton. Take chris's for example if he had ordered the gloss black roof it would have came over unpainted & painted here at the import centre. Along with alarm etc. the dealers do he simple jobs like fit mats & steering wheel inserts lol. Duel controls for learner cars are fitted at the import centre too.

My 200 wheel has yellow stitching on the band & white all round the wheel they are all like this Colin. Isn't your wheel from a 197 with the red band?
