Servicing
Is this about right for a 7 year service for a clio 182 cup quoted £160
Dear Mr .. this service is now classed as an interim service including oil & oil filter replacement, safety & computer checks & a cabin filter replacement.
Regards
Pete
doesnt sound like a lot for £160?

Does that come with a free blowjob??
No specialists off of here near you??
I'd want to do oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, oil, GB oil if it's never been done.

Re: Servicing
A standard 12k service (in between of the bigger ones) would comprise of:
Vehicle check
Air filter
Cabin filter
Oil change
BTM Performance and 519 Automotive (both are specialists) charge £140 for this the last time I checked. The going rate for a 12k service by a standard garage is normally around this, I'd expect a chain garage to charge about £150. £160 sounds a tad expensive.

Re: Servicing
WHilst people seem to belive this is expensive depents on the labour rate easy enough to get garages with £100 a hour labour rate. Its not cheap running a garage

Re: Servicing
Just get it done at any garage, it's only an oil and filters service.

Re: Servicing
Got mine done at Renault for £130
not sure how they worked that price out but I paid and didn't mention it!
Mine composed of Cabin Filter, Oil change + filter change, Vehicle Check

Re: Servicing
^repeat customers get discount at ours, you never asked though
-
Re: Servicing
I only went for the stamp
(otherwise i would have no choice but to go up yours, don't trust anyone else!)
-
Re: Servicing
you went for a main dealer stamp?? WHY?? That devalues the car
-
Re: Servicing
I figured they can't get an oil change wrong, right? (probably not
)
-
Re: Servicing
bet they used Motrio (aka cheap) parts and the wrong oil is probably in your engine, but meh

Re: Servicing
I was good and asked before they did it, actually Elf 5w 40 or so they said
I've got 5L of Elf Evo SXR 5W-40 sat here from CS Saturday still, so I'll change that after a few miles! (I assume it is still OK and doesn't really have a shelf-life as such?)

Re: Servicing
no oil doesn't have a use by date

Do 182s need a service every year? My last one was about a year ago when I had oil changed and oil filter new brake pads pollen filter etc, just wondering if it's something that needs doing every year or what thanks
