As it stands only the sensors, fan, coil pack and some other bits and bobs inside the car to wire up and she be ready to start

First of all, i'd like to congratulate you on your HUGE project and ambition! and please believe me when i say this, i know all too well about "the sickness"!..
I pumped so much money, time and effort into my car obsessions, that i doubt there is still someone here who doesn't consider me a screwball.. (especially as i don't have a garage, and i had to do everything outside in the parking lot in plain sight... most times in the dark, and sometimes lying on my back underneath the jacked up car for hours on end with just a flashlight held between my teeth in the middle of the night... sometimes even in wintertime. So yes. I know of you!, and i salute you sir!


Now to the question part
Can you please describe (in great detail if possible) how did you fit/connect the oil leads from the engine to the turbo? I know for the return lead, i should drill a hole in the bottom of the engine (where the oil rests); but how about the "source" lead? How should this be done, and where should i make a hole in the engine? And is it possible without dismembering the engine..? coz i saw that u had to put a nut on the inside of the engine to screw the oil lead in..

Foxer, just t piece off where the oil pressure switch is and use that to feed the turbo.

foxer. as yours is a 1.6 and mine is the 2.0 they're different engines. conveniently on the 2.0 there's an oil pressure sender at the back of the block that i had no issues using a t-piece off to feed the turbo but with the 1.6 its a bit more complicated.

the oil pressure switch on the 1.6 is on the front of the block iirc so you will need a t-piece in this hole with a line going around the engine into the turbo at the back

The F4R 2.0 in my turbo phase 1 is fed from the pressure sender at the front of the block, no drama at all doing it that way.

Done a bit more over the past few days. Interior is basically complete now, it's all wired up now anyway so it just needs tidying and putting back together...

Radio, gauges, boost gauge all working


New headlining and boot floor done in suade...



Can just about make out the floor in this picture done...


Subs kick out some punch too the inner chav coming out in me lol

And the whole interior blending together well



Anyway done all that whilst I was waiting for stuff for the wiring, today managed to get it done up to wiring the sensors in. In other words I've routed the cable and now I need to put plugs on the end of them lol.

Shuld be nicely inconspicuous in the bay


Having big trouble with the coolant gauge ATM tho so that's been taking up most of my time!
