Re: PH1 Flamer.
We also weighed the back box as it was off, weighed 7.2kg!!

Re: PH1 Flamer.
Maybe I am an immature child but I thought it was hilarious at the time an reading/watching that video does make me chuckle.....quite alot
Sounded great when you went through the village though Dan! Not that loud either considering what's missing!

Re: PH1 Flamer.
Its not suprise a its gone, and i will admit it is pretty amusing. But the fact i need to replace the exhaust when im strapped for cash is what saddens me
I was thinking if I did get pulled over i would simply say it fell off and is in my boot, just beside my catalytic converter lol.
-
Lol, mine fell off on my old one.
Decatted
Supercharged
No back box
Bury Town centre
f**king loud!
-
Re: PH1 Flamer.
That would be a hard one to explain if you had a decat in lol
For now then is it worth just getting a straight pipe welded on the end the get the gases out behind the bumper and replace it after the ring? It wasn't any louder than Lewis' car.
Sounded great too!
-
Re: PH1 Flamer.
And i bet you still hammered it danny?
Dropping gears in mine tonight was brilliant, was making a right racket and spluttering away.
The replacement for this is more than likely the same exhaust but stainless, so i can fit and forget for a while.

Why change the habit

Me and my Dad had a look with a torch when i got in, as he was determined he could fix it. The exhaust is truly battered, I managed to poke another hole through it with my car keys.
Ill get proper pics at some point.

Ah there is no point then.
Sham as it really does sound good under load, especially echoing against the houses in my quiet village

Re: PH1 Flamer.
I could always just bend the pipe so it exits the side!!
It was nice, scared away the pheasants also.
On friday i think im going to fit my other bonnet pins to my boot, as when driving with the window down my boot bangs and shakes since i gutted it lol.

Bloody pheasants!
That will make the back end look good, I like them pins in the boot lid
You will be gutted when you have a quiet exhaust back on there next, don't get too used to it
-
Just tighten your hook bit on the bottom of the opening and wind the rubbers out on the boot!
Side exit exhausts need to be quieter on Trackdays
-
Re: PH1 Flamer.
Ill have a look
Talking of track days. We should book a snetterton evening for later this year. Only £75

And the fuel tank is in the way...
-
Yep I'm up for an evening.
Fuel tank is well out of the way for a side exit!

Re: PH1 Flamer.
Bloody hell your exhaust has had it! Lol you'll be surprised how much lighter the stainless steel exhaust is compared to mild steel.... My Oreca was less than half the weight of the heavy k-tec mild steel one that came off.
-
Re: PH1 Flamer.
Ill weight them both. Got a wedding at 3 tomorrow so ill remove it in the morning. Which wont take long
-
Re: PH1 Flamer.
lol! Was an awesome sound tho mate as Rhys has said, poor OAP's of Thurlow
We was a bit shocked when we got back into his garage after you left looking a puddle of coolant on the floor, but we soon knew why
Did it scrub on the way home, or is it right height now?
