Re: PH1 Flamer.
Ill pick his brains sunday
also got a set of solid engine and gearbox mounts on the way
-
Ya could easily get you one sorted for sub £100, it's really nothing special!
-
Re: PH1 Flamer.
Tell me more! Theres is roughly £150 according to there facebook.
-
It's two 90 degree silicone hoses and what looks like an ITG filter, eBay for two silicone hoses around £20-30 then an ITG fitter for about £50
-
-
Yea just quickly looked on eBay and can do it for 90 quid!
Lol!
That's not even trade prices that K-Tec would get to then sell on, fair enough making a profit but £150 is taking the piss!

Re: PH1 Flamer.
it's a single hose for a start, with a breather take off built in, and the insides of the filter are the clever bit. It's definitely not an ITG (LOL!!!!)
-

Single hose?
Even if you did it with a samco/forge hose with take off and a hard pipe, which would look better, it would still be just on the £100 mark.
What's so special about the filter then? And what make is it?

Don't let the facts get in the way

So far I see no facts.
To me that's an ITG filter with base sprayed black.
I genuinely cannot see it making a difference of what filter it is down in that part of the engine bay.

Re: PH1 Flamer.
It has some kind of funky trumpet inside the filter or something, im not really sure!

Re: PH1 Flamer.
Took the car out for a proper drive this morning, with all the suspension setup and the extra power/revs it made me usual back road hack a brilliant drive.
Not having the car for the week made me forget how much i love this thing,
Got a quick speedo video on the way back on a straight empty road, surprisingly hard to drive when you have a mobile phone taped to the steering wheel.
(probably best to put it in higher quality if you want to actually see the dials)

Re: PH1 Flamer.
From the graphs I have seen with that induction set up,peak figures are good but it seems to loose you a fair amount of torque in the mid range, would only fit one if you are obsessed with the peak figure if your car.
Glad your happy with your car Dan,will be interesting to see what it makes on FMS rollers now, that's if they are still operating, went there the other week and looked like they may have closed.

Re: PH1 Flamer.
Out of interest what did yours run at FMS? Be gutted if they closed down, they were brilliant at the rolling road day, proper nice blokes!
On the graph it gains torque throughout most of the rev range, and the power gain is up top with the induction.
Bottom one is before being mapped but with the cams in, they stopped the test at just after 6k due to overfueling or something, im not 100% sure.
Middle lines my current setup unsure why it drops like that at the end as the car holds power all the way through to the top.
And the top line is with the ktec induction setup.

Re: PH1 Flamer.
No losses, just gains in most of the rev range
