ClioSport FAQ

Name changes are available only to Cliosport Club Members, and are also restricted to 1 change per year.

1. Check the Memberlist to make sure your desired new username has not already been taken by another user.
2. Use the Username Change Field in your profile settings to submit your new username.

We advise you to put "WAS:" & your previous username in the location or car field in your profile, so other members see you have changed your username.

Please note that although a particular username may not appear to be taken when looking at the memberlist, it is still possible that your chosen name may get rejected (i.e. the name has been reserved or is a currently banned user etc).

You can firstly choose them by selecting the advanced box underneath your reply box .If by choosing this option you still cannot view smilies then see below .

You can view all smilies on this forum by the following :

1. • Go into your control panel (Personal CP on left menu)
2. • Edit options
3. • Miscallaneous Options
4. • Change Basic Editor to Enhanced Interface
5. • Save changes

Then you will be able to view all smilies when choosing the ‘advanced’ option when making a post .

You can only add an avatar if you are a ClioSport Club Member (i.e you have paid the membership fee)

To do this go to :

1. • Go into your control panel (Personal CP on left menu)
2. • Edit Avatar
3. • You can then choose from either 21 pre-defined avatars or a custom avatar .

To use your own it must be no larger than 80x60 pixels in dimensions or no greater than 11.7kb :

1. • Highlight “use own custom avatar”
2. • Choose to either upload from your own pc or the url the image is being hosted
3. • Save Changes

Please note : Custom avatars are regulated under the Forum rules & may be removed if deemed unsuitable .

You have to be a member to be able to post in all sections .

This also enables you to :

1. • Unrestricted number of posts
2. • Sections completely blocked from viewing as a user
3. • Club discounts & priviledges

How do i upload pictures?

You can only upload pictures to the Cliosport forum if you are a member however non members can still display pictures that are hosted elsewhere i.e. photobucket.com .

To add a thread attachment

You can upload a picture to here by the following :

1. • Click on Go Advanced
2. • Under Additional Options select Manage Attachements
3. • A new dialog box will appear with the upload box
4. • Select the image you want to upload and click the upload button

To add and inline picture to a post

1. • Choose ‘Go Advanced’ option under reply box
2. • Click on (if you can't see this option go to "how do i get smilies ?" FAQ to activate your advanced functions fully)
3. • Simply add the URL from where the picture is being hosted – picture should then display itself in the reply box

hint : when posting more than one picture in same post by hitting enter after each picture will put pictures vertically down the forum instead of horizontally .
Please Note : You are personally responsible for the posting of pictures within your post which must be posted within the guidelines of the Forum rules ,Cliosport will remove & discipline the postee if any pictures posted are in breach of these.

Your ClioSport Club Membership number is shown in the 'Membership Info' block on the left hand side column of the ClioSport Home Page.

Avatar Resize

Resizing Instructions:

1. • Click BROWSE
2. • Select the file you wish to use as an avatar
3. • Click VIEW
4. • Click RESIZE
5. • Change the IMAGE SIZE to 80x60
6. • Click RESIZE
7. • Right click on the newly resized avatar and save to your desktop.

That's your avatar created, now all you need to do is upload it. Note: This tool was not written by, is not hosted by and is not supported by ClioSport.

1. • Go into your control panel (Personal CP on left menu)
2. • Edit Options
3. • Scroll down to Date & Time Options
4. • Make sure the “DST Correction Setting” is set to “automatically detect DST settings”
5. • Save Changes

There could be a number of reasons for this .If you have not received a PM stating why this was done please PM a moderator (highlighted in green in the active users panel) requesting why .
