i have a black full fat and am not sure what colour to paint the wheels.

as nice as the FF wheels are, the previous owner kerbed a couple of them fairly badly so i need to paint them

Basically turbo'ing my 172, been looking at t25/t28 set ups.

After having a nose about my garage today i've found a T3 from a 3 door cossie, i know the flange would mate up fine to my megane manifold. Just wondering peoples opinions on using this turbo on an F4R.

Anyone used one before?

Just wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere near Stoke on Trent (Other than ABP in Crewe) that could set up the ride height, camber and 4 wheel alignment on a clio 172 cup? It's got FK coilovers on and I'm due to go to the 'Ring next week so wanted it all setup before I go as i've just had to replace one of the shock absorbers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I'm Ryan from Leeds. I've been away from Renault sport for a while, I've previously had a burnt orange 182, a 197 and meg 225. I've been in an evo vi for the last 18months or so.
i have been offered a tidy 197 in blue 2006 plate for the bargain price of £2000. The only catch is the mileage is 160k. It has full service history and has been used mainly on the motorway, its had 2 cam belt changes one of which has just been done.
my thinking is this would make a nice 2nd car to use for commuting, taking the dog out and obviously the odd B road blast.
Does any one else have a 197 with any where near 160k?
Are these cars proving to be reliable as they get older? When I had my last 197 it was only 2 years old so I don't know much about this area of them.
what do you guys recon to the price?

My 182 has 170,000kms on the clock. Want to freshen it up a bit and get it handling like it did when it left the factory :-)

Have allready done

Solid engine mounts
Powerflex bushes - dogbone, front wishbones and front anti roll bar.
Running Eibach Sportlines and planning soon to get a set of Koni yellows

Is there anything else obvious I am missing with those sort of kms, or could do to complete the package without spending buckets of cash.

I've replaced mid and rear exhaust mounts, and the damn thing still hangs too low !

Last night I went for a drive with a neighbour (new driving buddies). He has a 197, myself in the 172.

Both cars are standard and I was pleasantly surprised that there was literally nothing between the two, Both at higher speeds and up through the gears.

I have never had a duel with an equivalent car so can you tell me, Does it sound like my car will be making decent power? Should there be a difference between these two cars?

I have a 1.2 Clio and the only thing that deters me from going up in engine size is the cost of fuel. I know most of you on here have 1*2 sports which are 2.0.

The questions are, How much are you chucking in for a full tank? How frequently are you filling up? Your Monthly cost on fuel on a average month?

A full tank on my 1.2 is about £45 and I can only get roughly 200-230 miles out of a full tank! :dead:
