I'm getting a new iphone this weekend, and scrapping my old 3gs so it'll be a massive improvement!

I backed up my itunes etc on a laptop that now wont charge, I've got a works ipad so never needed to use it. I imagine i can buy a battery so the laptop works.

But i was wondering if there was a way of my getting all my data/info from my 3gs to my 5 without using said laptop?

I've just upgraded from the iPad 2 32GB to the iPad 4 retina 16GB. The problem I am having is I'm now struggling to fit everything into 16GB and actually have any space left!

If I were to buy a years worth of data on iCloud would it help? Or is iCloud just a place to back up your device?

It was bought in Summer last year so still has some warranty, it was originally bought by a house mate and I bought it off him a month later as he wanted to go back to a high power gaming laptop.

Any idea on how much it would go for?

Is there a program that's like whats app that will allow me to send messages between an iPad and a Nexus 4 Android phone?

Is there anyway to actually recover lost data after a system restore?
I've tried a few things to no avail, lots of the software online seems poor/scams.

Anything work or is it a lost cause?

I've got a 15 inch retina, 256gb SSD, 8gb RAM model that I've had for about 4 months now, however it isn't fitting in with my requirements and I need more disk space. I have bought external thunderbolt drives but it becomes cumbersome using multiple drives and I am limited by the speed of the drive itself so I am looking at trading down to a non retina macbook that I can put a bigger SSD in.

So would anyone be interested in doing a deal on their 2011+ MBP? Obviously I would want some sort of cash or other exchange on top, i.e a mac mini or ipad...

Anyway, strange request but I don't see what else I can do short of selling it on eBay.

Oh, it also has 3 years apple care on it...

Right then, I have added some new songs to itunes via some mp3's i have.

Now every time i go to play these songs, it will get upto 50% of the way through and then skip to the next song, some times it will skip after 20 seconds. Now the playcount is not going up so its not recorded play completion.

Is there anyway of resolving this?

I have done the Get Info>Options>Track End and still it skips without playing the whole song.
I also tried by deleting the file from the Libary and re adding with Antivirus turned off, still no change.

Help?

Moving a room around at home and installing a new TV, currently have my 2011 27" iMac about 4/5 metres away from where I will be installing the TV.

Question is - How can I connect my iMac to my TV, so I can display what is on my iMac, onto my TV. Eg. If I was watching a DVD on iTunes, or even streaming a basketball game from American TV, or TV series etc. Does Apple TV do all that, or just the iTunes aspect?

I have looked at wires, and get confused, and looked at Apple TV, but unsure if that does the job? I looked at a mini display port to HDMI, but not sure my iMac even has mini display port, i'm full retard when it comes to this. Wireless would be preferable, but don't mind running a wire under the carpet or something but would need an extension available.

Can anyone help me get my backup from my iPad (3rd gen) to my iPad mini?

The iPad is jailbroken and running iOS 6.1.2. The iPad mini is brand new and running iOS 6.0.2. When trying to restore the backup to the mini I get an error regarding software compatibility.

I have searched and found the edit backup plist trick but it is not working. I get a corruption error every time. I have even tried editing iPad model, UDID etc to no avail.
