Two days after the clubs second national gathering we can look back reflectively and say with relative confidence that the day was a huge success. From the teams point of view, this comes as a relief and is very gratifying, so from us to you, thank you for making the day what it was and for your continued support.
We realise the club meet scene is beginning to get bit stale and we're doing all we can to rectify that for our members. ClioSport Saturday Seems to be working well, and this year we would like to get you a bit more involved in organising the event. Having spoken to a lot of you on Saturday, you clearly have a lot of good ideas which we hope to tap into. A survey is now online here, and we would appreciate it if you would fill it in. We read each and every response.
The 4th August for us was a reletively early start, but late in comparison to the usual shows we attend. Despite this, many of you were still showing up at 9:30, a full hour before the event kicked off. Very committed, I must say! By 10pm, the Renault UK cars were set up, the marquee was up, Jemlar's simulators were up and running and we were pretty much ready to rock and roll. The last of you began to drip in at around 12 pm, with 4 hours of the show remaining. The perfect amount of time to fly round and view everything.
The weather was always a massive concern for us, and our anticipations were quenched when the heavens opened at around 1pm, drenching absolutely everything. Surprisingly, it only lasted 15 minutes and the glorious sun raised it's head for a tad longer. Many members even reporting burnt necks.

Surprisingly, despite the Jemlar entertainment, the goings on in the CS marquee and the traders, by far the biggest attraction of the day was the Twizy which was kindly provided by Renault UK. It was delivered to us clean, and with a full charge. It left us at 4pm with no battery and extremely dirty. At least 80% of attendees had a fondle with the car. Renault also provided us with some fantastic cars from their heritage collection.

Towards the end of the day when everyone started making their journeys home, or to their post show watering hole of choice, a few of our more feminine members decided to get together and have a quick photo shoot of their feminine cars.
That concludes the quick summary of the event. Revels also very kindly created a video summarising the day which can be found below. There are also plenty of photos on the forum and on the ClioSport Facebook page.
