Spot on so far mate.
Can confirm it’s pretty much a dead heat against the i20N in a straight line when he’s not running his tuning box. Clio is a bit quicker at the very top end surprisingly :)
Box oil done with redline.
Power flexed the dog bone. All good.
Again, drives better. It’s nice that everything I’ve done so far has improved the car noticeably :)
Note on the last pic the bolt is the wrong way round. I put it back in the way it came out. A bit of f**king around later...
Bit of a rush to get the car finished in time to depart for the Nurburgring on Wednesday morning. I've been flat out at work and not had a great deal of time to get the last bits sorted.
This weekend to do's:
- Gearbox Oil (Redline).
- Gearbox Dog Bone.
- Lambda Sensor.
Should all be sorted...
Looking for recommendations.
My milltek sits a bit low for my liking, what have you guys used to bring this up or adjust this?
(Old pic but still valid)
What a difference!!!!
It’s like a different car. At the top end of the revs it’s not much different, but the mid range and throttle pick up is like a completely different car now! It’s soo much smoother.
Wasn’t my favourite job to do tbh, but I’m mega glad I did it. What a difference!
Got some snotty jobs out of the way today.
Removed the inlet and fuel rail guard.
Genuine injectors, but some look to have seen better days.
This one in particular looked pretty borked !
Shiny shiny
Fitted up.
Old plugs. Again, genuine. And not in bad condition to be fair...
Exhaust leak, fixed.
I’m really surprised by the difference adding the flexi has made. It’s removed a good amount of resonance through the car. There’s also no rattles or knock anymore.
Also quieter in the cabin in general.
Car feelings like it’s fuelling better now as well.
Win win!
