Apply some pressure to the engine mount and any other rails/covers around the area and see if it quietens down before taking apart

Yes belt plus idler pulley as you say. If it isn't valves it could potentially be carbon cannister, worth unplugging to make sure its not that causing the noise (it will throw an error code when unplugged) I would tighten up the engine mount bolts to spec as well just to be sure Do you have a...

Usually the valves are tappy on top When was the belt/tensioner last done? Is the engine side cover/mount torqued up correctly?

Make sure you get black braided lines so the car doesn't reject them
